CalWest’s client school in the Greater Marin County Area is seeking a Middle School History Teacher to begin January 9, 2023.


Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree and/or other educational requirements listed on the job description
  • Requisite skills commensurate with the position
  • A reasonable commuting distance to the CalWest client school, or a willingness to relocate
  • Relevant, recent experience
  • Authorization to live and work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
  • Relevant teaching experience with a minimum of two years preferred
  • Relevant subject area knowledge in history
  • Proven track record of working effectively to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in a community committed to diversity, equity, and social justice.
  • Strong skills with initiative, follow-through, organization, collaboration, and communication.

  • Use available technology to enhance student learning, faculty collaboration, and responsive communication.
  • Technologies include: 1:1 laptops, Google Suite (mail, drive, calendar, and Google Classroom), Boxlight interactive screens, and a variety of applications and learning management tools for assigning tasks, representing learning, and providing feedback
  • Serve as a chaperone on one outdoor education trip
  • Attend regular team meetings and contribute to recess and lunch supervision.
