Responsibilities
- Create instructional resources for use in the classroom.Â
- Regularly review student data and adjust lessons and instructional strategies to the needs of students.Â
- Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activitiesÂ
- Create a positive educational climate for students to learn in.Â
- Meet course and school-wide student performance goals.Â
- Conduct home visits for all students before the first day of school and maintain open communication with families throughout the year.Â
- Participate in ongoing professional development in the core curricula, sped, ELD, supplemental curricula, college preparation, classroom management, and discipline and diversity awarenessÂ
- Create lesson plans and modify accordingly throughout the year.Â
- Grade Papers, assignments, maintain grade books and perform other administrative duties as needed.Â
- Utilize various curricular resources and integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans.Â
- Utilize curricula that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students served.Â
- Develop incentives to engage students in the classroom.Â
- Develop professional relationships with other agencies health, dental, housing and nonprofit organizations and programs.Â
- Utilize public library resources.Â
- Work with the AP of Instruction and Principal to ensure initiatives are being met.Â
- Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities and observe and evaluate student’s performance.Â
- Manage student behavior in the classroom by invoking approved disciplinary procedures.
Salary Range
$66,560 – $95,000
