CalWest Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree and/or other educational requirements listed on the job description
- Requisite skills commensurate with the position
- A reasonable commuting distance to the CalWest client school, or a willingness to relocate
- Authorization to live and work in the United States
Client School Preferred Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree is required. A master’s degree is preferred.
- 5 years of teaching experience.
- Experience with the developmental needs of 8-10-year-old children.
- Experience developing and implementing curriculum for elementary grades is required.
- Demonstrated leadership in curriculum development, academic or professional experience in gifted education, creative problem-solving, and inquiry-based education are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide an active learning environment in a departmentalized structure, designing and implementing curriculum for lower school students.
- As a collaborative leader, work closely with homeroom teachers and other content area specialists.
- Participate in class outings as well as attend faculty and department/grade level meetings.
Salary Range
$62,000 – $122,000
