CalWest’s client school in the Greater San Fernando Valley area seeks an Elementary Teacher for the 24-25 school year.
CalWest Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree and/or other educational requirements listed on the job description
- Requisite skills commensurate with the position
- A reasonable commuting distance to the CalWest client school, or a willingness to relocate
- Authorization to live and work in the United States
Client School Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years of lead classroom teaching in 1st-5th grade required
- Bachelor’s degree in Primary Elementary Education or equivalent required
- Master’s degree in Education preferred
- Valid teacher certification preferred
- Experience working in project-based/experiential learning contexts
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of methods, materials, and techniques used to deliver instruction
- Develops and presents lessons and activities that demonstrate planning and preparation consistent with grade level standard
- Uses a variety of instructional techniques and materials
- Conducts regular assessments of student academic and behavioral performance and maintains up-to-date records of student progress in all progress reports, blueprints, and shared drives
- Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative student data
- Models behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible
- Able to accept and apply feedback from supervisors, managers, Directors, and HOS
- Differentiates instruction according to student academic and developmental need
- Creates, develops, and provides a variety of instructional materials and resources for students to explore based on student’s passions
Salary Range
$45,000 – $60,000
