CalWest’s partner school in the Bay Area seeks an experienced Biology Teacher to start in July 2024. 


CalWest Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree and/or other educational requirements listed on the job description
  • Requisite skills commensurate with the position
  • A reasonable commuting distance to the CalWest client school, or a willingness to relocate
  • Authorization to live and work in the United States

Client School Preferred Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree is required.  
  • An advanced degree and experience working with secondary school students is preferred. 
  • Experience in Independent Schools preferred. 
  • Enthusiasm for teaching and the ability to inspire a love for science in students. 
  • Love opportunities to create. 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Creative and engaging  

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively and maintain strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues. 
  • Develop and maintain a positive, strong classroom culture. 
  • Create your own engaging and interactive learning environment, foster a passion for science, and ensure students acquire a solid foundation in biology concepts. 
  • Employ various teaching methods, including lectures, group activities, hands-on experiments, and multimedia resources, to engage students and enhance their understanding of biology. 
  • Oversee laboratory work, field trips, and extracurricular activities related to biology. 
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate cross-curricular concepts and promote a cohesive learning experience for students. 

Salary Range

$ 60,000 – $ 80,000
