CalWest client school in Nevada seeks an Elementary Science Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year.
CalWest Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree and/or other educational requirements listed on the job description
- Requisite skills commensurate with the position
- A reasonable commuting distance to the CalWest client school, or a willingness to relocate
- Authorization to live and work in the United States
Client School Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years teaching experience at the elementary level, ideally in science.
- Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate science practices for lower elementary grades.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Experience with or enthusiasm for outdoor/environmental education is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive PK–5 science curriculum aligned with NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards).
- Create inquiry-based lessons that foster scientific exploration, problem-solving, and real-world application.
- Incorporate outdoor learning and the school’s unique environment into science instruction where appropriate.
- Collaborate with Lower School teachers and specialists to support interdisciplinary learning.
- Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning styles and needs.
- Assess student learning through multiple measures and provide regular feedback to students and families.
- Maintain a positive, supportive, and respectful classroom culture that reflects the school’s values.
- Participate in faculty meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities.
Salary Range
$60,000 – $80,000
