CalWest client school in the greater Los Angeles area is seeking a Part-Time Middle School History Teacher for the 2025–2026 school year.
Schedule:
Friday: 11:00 AM – 1:45 PM
Monday–Thursday: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
CalWest Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree and/or other educational requirements listed on the job description
- Requisite skills commensurate with the position
- A reasonable commuting distance to the CalWest client school, or a willingness to relocate
- Authorization to live and work in the United States
Client School Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in History or Education preferred
- Experience teaching history or social studies at the middle school level is a plus
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Enthusiasm for working in a supportive, values-based school community
Responsibilities
- Teach middle school history and social studies topics
- Create engaging lessons that encourage critical thinking and historical inquiry
- Help students make connections between historical events and the world today
- Foster a respectful and inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with school leadership and fellow teachers as needed
- Inspire a love for History in students, foster critical thinking, and align with our school’s mission to provide a rigorous academic education within a nurturing Jewish environment.
Salary Range
$35,000.00 – $38,000.00
Mondays through Thursdays 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM and Fridays 11:00 AM to 1:45 PM
