CalWest client school in the greater Los Angeles area is seeking a Part-Time Middle School English Teacher for the 2025–2026 school year.
Schedule:
Friday: 11:00 AM – 1:45 PM
Monday–Thursday: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
CalWest Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree and/or other educational requirements listed on the job description
- Requisite skills commensurate with the position
- A reasonable commuting distance to the CalWest client school, or a willingness to relocate
- Authorization to live and work in the United States
Client School Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in English or Education preferred
- Teaching experience with middle school students preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Alignment with the school’s values and culture
Responsibilities
- Teach English Language Arts to middle school students
- Create engaging lessons that support reading, writing, and critical thinking skills
- Maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment
- Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership as needed
- Inspire a love for English Literature in students, foster critical thinking, and align with our school’s mission to provide a rigorous academic education within a nurturing Jewish environment.
Salary Range
$35,000.00 – $38,000.00
Mondays through Thursdays 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM and Fridays 11:00 AM to 1:45 PM
