CalWest Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree and/or other educational requirements listed on the job description
- Requisite skills commensurate with the position
- A reasonable commuting distance to the CalWest client school, or a willingness to relocate
- Authorization to live and work in the United States
Client School Preferred Qualifications
- Applicants should have a teaching credential and 3+ years teaching experience, preferably at an independent school.
- B.A./B.S. degree with significant coursework in mathematics, writing, and reading. An advanced degree in education is highly preferable.
- Strong interpersonal skills, pedagogical expertise, a growth mindset, the ability to integrate into our school culture, a good sense of humor, and flexibility are essential.
- Strong math instructional skills as well as excellent skills in teaching literacy and writing.
- Candidates should be strong writers in their own right.
- Emphasis will be placed on the ability to develop and implement a dynamic curriculum that will meet the varied needs of the student population through multiple learning modalities.
