CalWest Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree and/or other educational requirements listed on the job description

- A reasonable commuting distance to the CalWest client school, or a willingness to relocate
- Authorization to live and work in the United States
Client School Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education, Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Valid teaching certification, preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching high school science, with a focus on honors-level courses.
- Strong background in curriculum development and instructional design.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility and willingness to collaborate with colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Teaching: Conducting dynamic and interactive Honors Biology and Honors Chemistry classes, fostering a deep understanding of scientific concepts among high school students.
- Curriculum Development: Designing and implementing a rigorous and innovative curriculum that aligns with state standards and the school’s academic goals.
- Individualized Instruction: Providing personalized instruction to meet the diverse needs of honors-level students and promoting critical thinking skills.
- Assessment and Feedback: Implementing effective assessment strategies to measure student progress and providing constructive feedback to support student growth.
- Math and STEAM Integration: Potentially teaching math and STEAM classes based on the candidate’s expertise and the school’s curriculum needs.
