CalWest Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree and/or other educational requirements listed on the job description
- Requisite skills commensurate with the position
- A reasonable commuting distance to the CalWest client school, or a willingness to relocate
- Authorization to live and work in the United States
Client School Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Arts
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ classroom teaching experience
- Natural rapport with children and effective classroom management skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity and equity
- Experience using technology to support teaching and learning, including Google Classroom (preferred)
- Teaching credential or Masters’ Degree (preferred)
Responsibilities
- The 8th Grade Advanced Topics Teacher will oversee the development and delivery of Advanced Topics courses for 8th graders based on the educator’s areas of interest and expertise. Suggested courses of interest include topics such as:

Salary Range
