CalWest client school in Northern California seeks a Director of Curriculum and Instruction to begin July 1, 2025.


CalWest Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree and/or other educational requirements listed on the job description
  • Requisite skills commensurate with the position
  • A reasonable commuting distance to the CalWest client school, or a willingness to relocate
  • Authorization to live and work in the United States

Client School Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Leadership, or a related field preferred.
  • Significant experience in curriculum development and instructional leadership within an independent school setting.
  • Demonstrated success in leading professional development and mentoring educators.
  • Familiarity with PreK-8 educational frameworks and best practices.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and its application to educational settings.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and periodic review of the school’s curriculum to ensure alignment with educational standards and the school’s mission.
  • Collaborate with faculty to integrate innovative teaching methodologies and emerging educational technologies.
  • Ensure vertical alignment of the curriculum across grade levels for seamless student progression.
  • Plan and coordinate comprehensive professional development programs that address current educational trends and the specific needs of the faculty.
  • Mentor and support teachers in implementing effective instructional strategies, differentiation techniques, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Organize and lead workshops, seminars, and collaborative learning communities.
  • Develop and manage a fair and constructive teacher evaluation process that promotes reflective practice and professional growth.
  • Provide regular feedback, set actionable goals, and monitor progress to enhance instructional quality.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and lifelong learning among faculty members.

Salary Range

$ 80,000 – $ 100,000
