CalWest Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree and/or other educational requirements listed on the job description
- Requisite skills commensurate with the position
- A reasonable commuting distance to the CalWest client school, or a willingness to relocate
- Authorization to live and work in the United States
Client School Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field; master’s degree preferred
- 2+ years experience teaching lower school music
- Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds
- Must possess a growth mindset intent on refining teaching practices
Responsibilities
- Teach music appreciation, harmony, and instrumental music (band, orchestra, and instrumental ensembles).
- Lead choral instruction and vocal development.
- Encourage students to explore and develop individual musical skills.
- Incorporate a diverse repertoire, including both traditional and contemporary music, appropriate for various age groups and skill levels.
- Plan, rehearse, and direct student performances for school and community events.
- Foster creativity and confidence through musical exploration and performance opportunities.
Salary Range
$74,000 – $100,000
