CalWest Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree and/or other educational requirements listed on the job description
- Requisite skills commensurate with the position
- A reasonable commuting distance to the CalWest client school, or a willingness to relocate
- Authorization to live and work in the United States
Client School Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field required; Master’s Degree preferred
- 3+ years of teaching experience preferred
- Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds
- Must possess a growth mindset and be open to using feedback to refine practice
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain an organized and engaging classroom environment with systems and procedures that effectively support student behavior, movement, and learning.
- Employ a variety of teaching methodologies to meet diverse learning needs and styles.
- Establish a classroom culture where children have high expectations for themselves, demonstrate accountability, and develop a love of learning.
- Collaborate with team members on curriculum and teaching practices.
- Assess students regularly, examine assessment data, and refine lesson plans to differentiate instruction for each student while working collaboratively with the Student Support Services team.
- Enhance the curriculum and the program by including project based learning and interdisciplinary projects, when applicable.
Salary Range
$70,000 – $110,000
