Hávila joined the CalWest Team in 2018. She earned a BA in Business Finance from Hood College, an M.Ed. in Elementary School Education from Mount Saint Mary’s University, an MS in School Administration K-12, and completed all coursework as a candidate for her Ed.D. in Instructional Technology from Duquesne University. Hávila taught inner-city high school computer science, systems, and multimedia for four years before switching to inner-city elementary school as a third-grade teacher.

Originally a native of Staten Island, Hávila moved to Maryland, where she lived for 20 years before relocating to Pittsburgh, PA. In Pittsburgh, she continued her education and became a high school assistant principal and later an elementary school principal. Most recently, Hávila worked with a company specializing in online curriculum design and instruction, where her team designed over 170 courses annually for delivery to over 10,000 K-12 students. Hávila served on the board of the Western Pennsylvania Montessori School from 2015 to 2020 and as Board President from 2018 to 2019.
