CalWest Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree and/or other educational requirements listed on the job description
- Requisite skills commensurate with the position
- A reasonable commuting distance to the CalWest client school, or a willingness to relocate
- Authorization to live and work in the United States
Client School Preferred Qualifications
- Academic Excellence: Degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or related field from a top-tier university (Ivy League or equivalent strongly preferred)
- Strong Undergraduate Record: GPA of 3.0+ preferred
- Teaching Experience: Minimum 5 years of classroom teaching experience; must be a certified educator
- Curricular Range: Confident teaching the full range of middle and high school mathematics, including Algebra, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus, and Statistics
- Charisma & Influence: Open to building a public teaching persona via social media
- Passionate Educator: Driven to make math engaging, understandable, and meaningful for every student

Responsibilities
- Live Teaching: Deliver engaging, high-energy online math lessons in real time (scheduled during after-school hours)
- Curriculum Development: Design and refine full units, lesson plans, homework sets, and assessments
- Content Creation: Collaborate with our Media Team to develop short-form videos and educational content for platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube
- Marketing Collaboration: Partner with our Marketing Team to create innovative, education-focused campaigns
- Student Support: Interact with students and parents to ensure continuous improvement and personalized learning
- Company Initiatives: Work alongside our founders on broader projects
Salary Range
💸 Compensation Package
Performance Bonus & Equity: Up to $50,000, split between annual bonus and company equity (final split determined based on interview performance)
Base Salary: $120,000 annually
