CalWest’s client school in the Greater Los Angeles Area is seeking a Mathematics Instructor (23-24 Leave Position) to begin August 1, 2023.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree and/or other educational requirements listed on the job description
- Requisite skills commensurate with the position
- A reasonable commuting distance to the CalWest client school, or a willingness to relocate
- Relevant, recent experience
- Authorization to live and work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
- Possess, at minimum, a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics.
- Has at least three to five years of demonstrated success teaching Mathematics at the secondary level.
- Comfortable with teaching at the AP Calculus level and beyond.
- Experience with using TI graphing calculators, preferably with the TI-Nspire CX.
- Excellent organizational skills, including experience with a learning management system.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with fellow Mathematics teachers in teaching teams.
- Teach secondary level Mathematics courses including Multivariable Calculus, Calculus and Precalculus Honor.
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging math lessons for the appropriate developmental level.
- Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, student services, deans, and other administrators.
- Teach four Mathematics courses.
- Utilize Marlborough’s learning management system to take attendance, provide curriculum materials and maintain a digital gradebook.
- Serve as a grade-level advisor to a group of approximately 12 students.
- Participate actively in grade-level and school activities.
