Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree and/or other educational requirements listed on the job description
- Requisite skills commensurate with the position
- A reasonable commuting distance to the CalWest client school, or a willingness to relocate
- Relevant, recent experience
- Authorization to live and work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
- Relevant teaching experience with a minimum of two years preferred
- Relevant subject area knowledge in drama
- Proven track record of working effectively to advance diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racist education
- Strong skills in initiative, follow-through, organization, collaboration, and communication

Responsibilities
- Teach weekly drama classes in grades K-6.
- Teach a weekly drama-related arts elective for grades 7-8.
- Direct one of the annual drama productions, either the fall play or the spring musical.
- Support and maintain the love of drama at Mark Day School.
- Collaborate with the arts faculty to advance the arts and highlight the importance of the arts as part of a balanced curriculum.
- Model personal standards of excellence: warmth, clarity of expectations, consistency, and accountability.
- Demonstrate equitable and culturally responsive teaching practices.
- Apply a wide range of highly effective approaches to teaching, balancing enduring and innovative best practices.
