CalWest’s client school in the Greater Orange County area is seeking a School Psychologist to start August 2022.


Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree and/or other educational requirements listed on the job description
  • Requisite skills commensurate with the position
  • A reasonable commuting distance to the CalWest client school, or a willingness to relocate
  • Relevant, recent experience
  • Authorization to live and work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

  • Equivalent to completing an earned Master of Arts or higher degree in psychology, counseling, guidance, or closely related fields
  • Two years of successful school psychologist experience
  • Classroom teaching or counseling at the Pre-K to secondary school level is desirable

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of individual and group psychoeducational assessments and diagnoses of specific learning, emotional, and behavioral disabilities
  • Prepare recommendations about student remediation, placement in special programs, and psychoeducational interventions
  • Consult and confer with instructional and administrative personnel to develop and implement instructional methods and procedures designed to facilitate learning and overcome learning and behavioral disorders
  • Participate in parent conferences, and pupil evaluation reviews, and provide pupil profiles indicating learning strengths and weaknesses
