Director of Athletics and PE Teacher (4th – 8th)

CalWest’s partner school in the greater San Francisco Bay area is seeking an experienced Director of Athletics and P.E. Teacher (4th-8th) to begin in August 2022.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree and/or other educational requirements listed on the job description
  • Requisite skills commensurate with the position
  • A reasonable commuting distance to the CalWest client school, or a willingness to relocate
  • Relevant, recent experience
  • Authorization to live and work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
  • Relevant P.E. experience with a minimum of two years preferred.
  • Relevant subject area knowledge.
  • Proven track record of working effectively to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in a community committed to diversity, equity, and social justice.
  • Strong skills with curriculum design, initiative, follow-through, organization, collaboration, and communication.

  • Lead and coordinate the schoolwide athletic program and the 4th-8th P.E. program.
  • Hire, supervise, train, and manage coaches for the athletic program.
  • Employ equitable and culturally responsive teaching practices.
