CalWest’s client school in the Greater San Francisco Bay area is seeking a Humanities Teacher to start August 2022.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree and/or other educational requirements listed on the job description
  • Requisite skills commensurate with the position
  • A reasonable commuting distance to the CalWest client school, or a willingness to relocate
  • Relevant, recent experience
  • Authorization to live and work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • class preparation and classroom teaching, humanities teachers are responsible for:
  • collaborative curricular development and alignment
  • designing skills-based formative and summative assessments
  • timely grading and feedback
  • regular communication with students, guardians, and advisors regarding student progress
  • one-on-one student meetings as needed
  • weekly faculty and course team meetings
