CalWest’s partner school in the Greater Los Angeles Area seeks a Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion to start July 2022.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree and/or other educational requirements listed on the job description
  • Requisite skills commensurate with the position
  • A reasonable commuting distance to the CalWest client school, or a willingness to relocate
  • Relevant, recent experience
  • Authorization to live and work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree or higher preferred
  • Preference given to candidates who lead and work with diverse age levels and abilities
  • Ability to both model and maintain positive motivation and momentum even in challenging circumstances
  • Proven expertise in establishing, implementing and communicating vision and plan for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

  • Being an accessible, visible and effective resource to students with regards to student diversity, equity and inclusion matters
  • Providing direct and indirect counsel and support to students and families within each school division on issues of identity development
  • Developing and/or implementing the school’s strategic plan for advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion and identifying the resources required to do so
  • Providing counsel and support to Admissions and Human Resources in the areas of recruitment and retention of students, faculty and staff from marginalized identities
  • Developing and implementing innovative strategies and programs to cultivate, attract, develop, and retain faculty and staff
