CalWest’s client school in the Greater Orange County Area is seeking a Technology Integration Specialist, K-5 to start in August 2021.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree and/or other educational requirements listed on the job description
  • Requisite skills commensurate with the position
  • A reasonable commuting distance to the CalWest client school, or a willingness to relocate
  • Relevant, recent experience
  • Authorization to live and work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in the field of educational technology or innovation
  • Minimum of five years of experience in the classroom
  • An understanding of key learning theories and methods of instruction and their relation to educational technology
  • Familiarity with educational practices specific to Lower School students
  • Experience teaching some programming skills (Lego Robotics, Scratch, etc.)
  • Experience in photo, video and audio editing tools (Photoshop, premier, final cut, audacity, etc)

  • Develop and implement PYP technology curriculum for students in Kindergarten through grade 5
  • Teach students effective and responsible use of technology
  • Promote design thinking curriculum
  • Guide students through engineering design process
  • Develop a long-range plan for the use of present and emerging technology designed to improve the teaching/learning process
